1938 - Old East Braintree Station - Allen St
In service 1875-1942
In 1938 it was determined that the over 60 year old East Braintree Station was inadequate and needed to be replaced. A location was chosen at Adams St and Commercial St to build a new modern station.
The proposed station was never built. By 1940 a site was chosen at Hayward St and Commercial St and was quickly built and put in service in December 1941 at the outbreak of the war.
